February 7th 2011, the first hearts & souls practice I attended. Conor had asked me to come along but left it all very vague, in a way that only Conor can. I took ‘I’ve got a practice on monday, come along’ in the same vein as someone saying ‘I’m off to the cinema, come along’ - as an open invitation to join and brought my guitar, Apollo along. To this day I still have no idea as to whether that was his intention.

What I do know is that the songs were good, and Luby and Andy were pretty cool - (Andy’s immediate suggestion of a post practice pint won me over straight away) - I’d been looking for a good band for a while, and this seemed to be the perfect fit.

Since then, we’ve travelled the country, from our first gig(s) in Bridlington, York, Sheffield to hitting up our biggest venue to date in Sunderland to our smallest venue to date in Alnwick all in one weekend -  Alnwick was basically a back room about the size of my bedroom in a youth club - although it was ironically one of our best gigs!

We’ve released two singles and a music video, something most bands never get to do in their whole careers let alone in their first year and met some truly amazing people on the way, why wouldn’t everyone wanna be in a band?

THIS YEAR: We’re looking to release more music. There will be an E.P. on it’s way, there will be a tour at some point and continue writing bigger, bolder, better music than we’ve ever done before.
